Moon Ga-young Explains Her Daring Lingerie Look at Milan Fashion Week: “I Love Challenges”

On the April 2nd episode preview of tvN’s variety show “You Quiz on the Block,” Moon Ga-young appeared as a guest and reflected on her career, personal life, and her now-viral fashion moment at Milan Fashion Week.
Marking her 20th year in the entertainment industry, Moon said with a laugh, “I’ve been running nonstop.” She then shared a glimpse into her early life, revealing she was born and raised in Germany for 10 years.
Demonstrating her flawless German pronunciation, she fondly recalled, “There was always a whiteboard in our living room. If I woke up in the middle of the night, my dad would get up and solve problems on the whiteboard for me.” Her father, a physicist, played a pivotal role in her education and mindset.
But what really caught viewers’ attention was her explanation for the bold black lace lingerie look she wore at Dolce & Gabbana’s Fall/Winter 2024 show in Milan a sheer dress layered over the daring ensemble.
Moon Ga-young, who garnered attention overseas for wearing a revealing outfit that resembled lingerie, explained, “The outfit was part of the collection, and I like challenging myself.”
She added, “People tend to think of me as someone who’s calm and reserved, always reading books. So I think I had this urge to shake up that image a bit and show something different.” She continued, “I think I really enjoy taking on challenges. There are moments when challenges come, and during those times, I have to be fully prepared.”
When asked about things she’s been struggling with lately, Moon Ga-young candidly shared, “I’ve been thinking a lot about when to speak up and when not to. I honestly don’t know how to tell the difference.”
